The group stages are now done and dusted, and the World Cup is down to the final 32. Unfortunately, that means 16 teams are heading home — including the unlucky Scots and the Czech Republic (oh, what could have been!).

On the pitch, Messi keeps doing Messi things… coming off the bench and casually adding his 6th goal of the tournament. Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s “I’m back” tour after his two goals in Round 2 seems to have been short-lived — safe to say he’s not quite as back anymore!

In the sweepstakes standings, we’ve got a proper shake-up at the top. Sarah Mc, Easy Money, Glen Killian, and Jamie are now all sharing top spot — it’s getting very tight as we head into the knockout stages.

At the other end of the table, Mark is still bravely holding things together… currently propping up the leaderboard, but with plenty of football still to come, there’s always hope for a dramatic comeback!
